Our comprehensive online Dermaplaning Certification Course is designed for licensed estheticians, cosmetologists, and skincare professionals who wish to expand their skill set and offer advanced exfoliation services. Dermaplaning, also known as epidermal leveling, utilizes a scalpel to remove the top layer of the epidermis and vellus hair. This online course covers all essential aspects of dermaplaning, including theory, safety protocols, hands-on techniques, and client consultation practices.

Course Objectives:

• Understand the fundamentals of dermaplaning and its benefits for the skin.
• Review the anatomy of the skin 
• Master the proper use of dermaplaning tools and blades.
• Identify suitable candidates for dermaplaning and understand contraindications.
• Develop skills in conducting a thorough client consultation and obtaining informed consent.

• Gain knowledge about post-treatment care and product recommendations for clients. 

In this self-paced course, students have the flexibility to study at their convenience and revisit the material as needed.

Every professional is responsible for practicing within the scope of their license. We always recommend checking with your state board. 

If you are an esthetician or cosmetologist in Massachusetts, the Board of Cosmetology requires 16 hours of training to be certified. This fulfills part of that requirement, but additional hands-on is required. Please reach out to us to coordinate your hands-on training to become fully certified.
